Out-Back Maxtrax LITE Mount to suit Rear-Mounted Spare Tyres
Create a way to mount your Maxtrax LITE Boards, Out-Back.
First, pick your mounting base: the Out-Back Spare Tyre Mount or Out-Back Spare Wheel Hub Mount. You can choose to run it centre, left, right or even above your spare tyre.
Then, bolt on your Out-Back Maxtrax LITE mount. Adjust it up and down, in and out, or flip it around — it's totally up to you.
Features:
- The flexible Out-Back mounting system allows you to choose where you mount your boards, depending on your setup and vehicle.
- Multiple mounting holes and offset design provide maximum adjustability.
- You can choose from the Spare Tyre Mount, which allows you to still run a rear bin bag or factory reversing camera, or the Wheel Centre Hub Mounting, which bolts directly to the back, or simply purchase the Maxtrax Mount for another DIY use!
- Rear Spare mounting provides an accessible height, great for mobility issues or those without room on their roof.
- Lightweight but strong aluminium design provides a secure surface for mounting.
- Compatible with Maxtrax LITE Boards.
- The base mounts are also multipurpose, with nearly unlimited uses, perfect for 10L water or fuel storage with a Rotopax Style holder.
- Powder coated in a durable textured matt black finish that will blend in with your tyre and won’t rust.

What clearance is required for the Out-Back Maxtrax & Spare Tyre Mount to be used?
170mm of clearance is required from the edge of the tyre at the centre point, in order to mount the Out-Back Maxtrax & Spare Tyre Mount. This clearance needs to be maintained when the tyre is in all positions, i.e. when the door or rear bar is both closed and open. See the product listing images for more details.
Due to this clearance, the Out-Back Maxtrax & Spare Tyre Mounts are not compatible with side mounting with some Barn-door models, as the pins either block entry to the passenger side door handle or cannot open fully without fouling on the driver's side taillight.
