Stealth Mount Flush Folding Maxtrax & TRED Mounting Brackets to suit ARB BASE Rack
Kaon designed their folding brackets so you can remove your Maxtrax or TRED recovery boards and simply fold down the mounting pins when they’re not in use. Better yet, our Stealth Mount brackets allow the pins to fold neatly flush with your rack, so when out of use it’s as though they aren’t there at all.
For ARB BASE Rack we've created two options that secure to the rack's unique dovetail mounting system: both North-South (running front to rear) and East-West (running across the vehicle). So you can pick the perfect Stealth Mount to suit your setup.
Features:
- Our Stealth Mount folding brackets are as low as it gets. No need to remove the pins when you take your recovery boards off, when folded down they come in at just 4mm high (10mm high at the bolt heads).
- Slimline design means the brackets are almost invisible, removing visual clutter from your roof.
- When out of use, the near-flat design allows for items to be stored and mounted above. Leaving you with extra space to put your swag, tent, marquee – even surfboards – without ever removing the bracket.
- Provides quick access for even quicker recoveries.
- Secure and lockable mounting system so your recovery boards will stay put.
- Roof mounting frees up valuable room and keeps your interior clean.
- Quick and simple to install. Brackets are made from 4mm Stainless Steel and powder coated in a durable textured matt black finish that will blend in with your racks and won't rust.
- Will mount 2 or 4 Maxtrax MKII / XTREME tracks using standard pins. Please see FAQ for details for other Maxtrax or TRED varieties.

Can I use the Stealth Folding Mount in both directions on my ARB Base Rack?
The Stealth Folding Maxtrax Mounts are each designed to work in a single direction, due to the way they mount to the BASE Rack.
If you want your mount to run the Maxtrax from the front to the rear of the vehicle, choose the North-South mount.
If you want your mount to run the Maxtrax across the vehicle, choose the East-West mount.
Which mounting pins are best for my setup?
There are different pin options depending on which recovery boards you have. Here's what we recommend:
MAXTRAX Recovery Tracks
- Maxtrax MK II Boards, Mini, LITE and Jaxbase: Maxtrax 17mm pins (Please note that Mini & LITE are only East-West compatible)
- Maxtrax Xtreme Boards: Maxtrax X-Series Pins
- 2 x Maxtrax MK II + 2 x Maxtrax Xtreme: Maxtrax Hybrid Pins
TRED Recovery Boards
- TRED PRO, GT or HD: Either TRED Threaded or Quick Release Pins
- TRED Pins are usually sold in sets of 2. We sell TRED Pins in sets of 4, to ensure optimum use with our mounts.
Please note our mounts are not compatible with the 'TRED originals' range of 800 and 1100 boards available before 2019.
