The Maxtrax Winch Rope is a safer, metal-free alternative to traditional steel winch cables and synthetic ropes with metal hooks or thimbles. Built for strength and reliability, its designed to integrate seamlessly into the Maxtrax Recovery Systemgiving you confidence when it matters most. It can even be removed from your winch drum and used as a static extension rope when extra reach is needed.
Engineered and tested as part of the complete Maxtrax Recovery System, this rope is designed to work specifically with Maxtrax components. For safety, the system is designed so the Maxtrax Fuse Shackle acts as the controlled weak point in the event of an overloadso its essential to use it during every recovery.
Using the Maxtrax Winch Rope is straightforward. Before each use, give it a quick visual inspection to ensure its in good condition. When installing, secure the rope to your winch using the end marked with the coloured safety indicator, then wind it onto the drum under tension. Pair it with a Maxtrax Winch Widget to protect the rope at the fairlead and keep everything seated correctly.
When youre ready to recover, simply remove the Winch Widget and connect the rope to your recovery point using a Maxtrax Core Shackle or Fuse Shackle. The built-in coloured safety markings help you stay aware of your limitsblack indicates the final 6 metres, and red highlights the last 2 metres of extension.
For more complex recoveries, the rope works perfectly with the Maxtrax Winch Ring for double-line or angled pulls. You can also extend your setup by joining additional Maxtrax winch or static ropes using Core Shackles, giving you the flexibility to adapt to different recovery situations. Adding a recovery dampener and using recovery tracks as a ramp can further reduce load and improve safety.
